“MAKING DORAVILLE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE”

For the past four years, I have worked with the City Council, City Employees, Citizens, and Businessmen to make Doraville a better place to live. In the next four years, I will continue to work with the City Council, City Employees, Citizens, and Businessmen to make our community better and safer for our families and businesses. My vision for Doraville include

  • Re-development of the General Motors property
  • Create a new position for a Coordinator of Cultural Affairs to provide communication and education to our diverse population
  • Create and implement a "Neighbor in Need" program for residents in need, funded by grants and contributions
  • Continue to plan for the future of Doraville using the Comprehensive and LCI Plans as a framework and guide for Doraville's growth and development
  • Retention of John King as Police Chief of Doraville
  • Repair our storm water drainage systems
  • Continue to improve Doraville's Parks and Recreation areas
  • Capital improvements of the Doraville Library
  • Continue to beautify Buford Highway and other streets
  • Maintain a balanced budget and fiscal responsibility
  • Conserve city funds to offset loss of GM revenue
  • Continue to develop our businessmen's group: "Doraville Is Better For Business"
  • Complete revisions of the Zoning Ordinance to provide quality control over property development in Doraville
  • Retaining good employees and upgrading our Permit and Inspection Department
  • Continue my Open Door policy to all residents and businessmen

"Working together as a team, the Mayor, City Council, City Employees, Citizens, and Businessmen will be able to accomplish these and other important goals for Doraville. Thank you for your support."
