For the past four years, I have worked with the City Council, City Employees, Citizens, and Businessmen to make Doraville a better place to live. In the next four years, I will continue to work with the City Council, City Employees, Citizens, and Businessmen to make our community better and safer for our families and businesses. My vision for Doraville include
- Re-development of the General Motors property
- Create a new position for a Coordinator of Cultural Affairs to provide communication and education to our diverse population
- Create and implement a "Neighbor in Need" program for residents in need, funded by grants and contributions
- Continue to plan for the future of Doraville using the Comprehensive and LCI Plans as a framework and guide for Doraville's growth and development
- Retention of John King as Police Chief of Doraville
- Repair our storm water drainage systems
- Continue to improve Doraville's Parks and Recreation areas
- Capital improvements of the Doraville Library
- Continue to beautify Buford Highway and other streets
- Maintain a balanced budget and fiscal responsibility
- Conserve city funds to offset loss of GM revenue
- Continue to develop our businessmen's group: "Doraville Is Better For Business"
- Complete revisions of the Zoning Ordinance to provide quality control over property development in Doraville
- Retaining good employees and upgrading our Permit and Inspection Department
- Continue my Open Door policy to all residents and businessmen
