Where do you stand on whether we should hire a city manager?
I feel that the issue of a city manager should be determined by the voters of Doraville; should the
majority of our voters want a city manager, then we should have a city manager. Doraville citizens
have always enjoyed and benefited from a full time mayor because of the personal contact they
have with the mayor and city employees. The issue of a city manager-type government has been
numerous times, and each time the citizens have given their approval of a full time mayor rather than
a city manager. Finally, the City Charter would have to be amended to provide for a city manager.
